The National Institutes of Health on Wednesday awarded USC's medical school $6 million to continue probing the effects of smog on Southern California children.
The Keck School of Medicine had applied for $45 million to continue work on its influential Children's Health Study, which began tracking the respiratory health of thousands of kids in the early 1990s.
